Our students had the opportunity to use their senses to explore properties of water. We saw how water moves from one place to the other. We investigated why some objects float and some sink and we got to measure and pour water from one container to the other. Parents and volunteers prompted our students with probing questions to help them take a closer look and zoom into the details of the water play experiences. Our children are naturally curious about the world around them. And water is one of the most common elements in our world. Water offers our students a rich opportunity for exploration. Our night ended with our children creating an underwater collage and sketching Snooty swimming in his habitat. And our families will continue exploring water at home through literature. All our children received books to read at home so their investigation of water can continue.
