This workshop will explore:
- Understanding the prevalence of trauma and how traumatic events affect children
- Becoming self-aware of the reasons for your students’ behaviors and emotions
- Strategies for Self-Care
- Exploring emotional vocabulary through Drama, Language and Visual Arts
- Sensory awareness, breathing and yoga
- Touring The Ringling

Teachers will receive FREE materials for their classrooms, Creating a Trauma Sensitive Classroom Guide by ASCD and The Dot by Peter Reynolds.
We will be practicing yoga and walking – wear comfortable and loose fitting clothing.
