“Just fold the corner; great job!” a volunteer directs a Blackburn first grader at his first Soar in 4; he is learning to make Origami alongside his 12-year-old brother who attends Buffalo Creek Middle. Mom sits next to them with their younger brother, almost three, also learning to fold while sipping on the juice provided as a snack. “They are having an amazing time together, and the activities are good for all three.” The brothers especially enjoyed the art and music. “And the magic snow—it was fascinating” the first-grader exclaimed. Mom was excited that most of the activities could be replicated at home with common household items or very affordable purchases. She said they will keep returning and was thrilled to hear the activities change every time.
