The Cat in the Hat visited our Soar in 4 Saturday at The Bishop Museum to encourage a love of learning and interest in science and engineering. Families were provided with on line resources to cultivate positive views about science and scientists among the next generation. With the help of interactive activities the children were encouraged to become the innovators and science explorers of tomorrow. Families learned that children don’t need fancy lab equipment to explore science they just need curiosity. Families learned to ask questions, plan investigations, create and test theories and improve on them. Wonder, observations and experimentation, with a live visit from the Cat in the Hat, helped connect families to science and literacy.
