The Soar Lab enhances the Soar in 4 program by providing families access to high-quality learning materials in their neighborhoods.
The Soar Lab is an expansion of our programming and will provide a permanent structure for families to have more opportunities to access high-quality materials and learning in their neighborhoods.
Children who visit a museum during pre-kindergarten and kindergarten have higher achievement in reading, math, and science.
The Soar Lab will provide intergenerational benefits to support kindergarten readiness skills from birth to 7 years old and enhance parents’ skills to support their child’s learning.
The Soar Lab space will allow programming to be held at a central location allowing for deeper exploration of the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards, so more children are school-ready. The spaces in the Soar Lab will have intentional learning environments that include new vocabulary and working memory skills.
The Soar Lab will feature the following learning spaces
- Art
- Tinkering
- Engineering
- Outdoor Classroom, Sound and Sensory Garden, Story Book Trail
The Soar Lab will also include:
A Library/Parent Resource Room
A Zen Den- A sensory-inclusive environment
The Soar Lab will be located on the Sara Scott Harllee campus. The address is 6423 9th St E, Bradenton, FL 34203. The Soar Lab construction has begun, and we hope to have a soft opening in July. More information to come and follow us for updates!
