SMALL LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS COMING TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU
Soar in 4 is thrilled to bring its first Soar Nest into the community. By activating parents in their own neighborhoods and equipping them with tools to support learning at home, we are helping more children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.
The first satellite site of the Soar Nest was installed at Robin’s Apartments, an affordable workforce housing and studio community located in Bradenton.
The Soar Nest is housed within the community room at Robin’s Apartments and is available for families who live in the community.
These smaller neighborhood-based learning environments will be known as Soar Nests, bringing the mission of the Soar Lab directly into neighborhoods.
The Soar Nest at Robin’s Apartments features literacy rich engagement areas aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards. Families will find hands-on learning materials along with Think, Play, Learn cards that provide strategies for using the materials to promote school readiness and support children’s development.
To ensure the space remains engaging and impactful, Soar Lab staff will visit monthly to model learning activities for families, replenish materials, and introduce new learning experiences that keep children excited about learning.
